Burgeo Broadcasting System Staff

Our company is headed up by Claude Strickland who is the Operations Manager. He deals with all aspects of the Cable System including: Installs, Trouble Calls, Maintenance as well as the day to day operations of the cable system. Claude was the first employee hired by B.B.S. He started work in July 1982 and was the only employee until 1988.

The first person to work in our programming department was Nancy Barter. Nancy was hired as the Program Director in 1988. Since then we have had several persons to fill this position. Marie Rose is currently working in the position as Program Director. She came on board in September 1998. Marie worked as a volunteer with our programming department for a number of years before she decided to come work with us.

Burgeo Broadcasting System also takes part in the Summer Career Placement and SWASP programs. Each year we hire two or three students to help with the organization and operation of the programming department as well as general office duties.
